The rubberized base of this light is heavy enough to prevent it from sliding around and has a thumb screw on the socket to firmly hold the fixture portion of the light in place.  Lights have a 12 foot cord with a convenient ON/OFF switch and the articulating, cantilevered arm has enough range of adjustment to satisfy the most demanding applications. The very stylish  head of this fixture is fully adjustable with a convenient finger knob and houses 36 Bright White LED's running parallel along its perimeter (18 LED's per side ). Each one produces 1/2 watt of power (18Watts total). This light puts out about the equivalent of a 100Watt incandescent bulb and the LED's have a life expectancy measured in the tens of thousands of hours. (10,000+).
