DESCRIPTION: THIS IS A SUPER AFFORDABLE EXTREME BRIGHT POCKET LIGHT. Another one of our newest properly driven super bright compacts. It runs on a SINGLE 1 standard AA battery keeping the over all size of the light down yet the capacity is excellent. Advantages of lithium 1.5V AA battery can be noticed with this light.
PERFORMANCE: We tested this light side by side against other single AA Cree lights and this light is a bit whiter and brighter with the same battery. The higher quality machining of the threads is a real pleasure compared to others of similar price. It has a thicker wall tube and a more meaty wall on the threaded switch cap. You will not be experiencing cracked caps and galled threads like the others. It truly generates up around 80 lm. The OP reflector does a nice job allowing a smooth uniform transition between the spot and the wash. There's no ugly shadow ring in this light. Not only is the spot a little brighter but also the wash is also noticeably brighter than other similar lights. This is our favorite general purpose and back up compact of our new Cree series. They are affordable enough to throw one in your glove box, toolbox and travel luggage. It has the finest and most efficient CREE 7090 XR-E Super Bright LED. It is exceptional quality machining and smooth switch performance.
ADVANTAGE: You're definitely getting more for your money with this light compared to similar lights. It's a pleasure to have a good quality clicky switch instead of a twist switch on a little pocket light. You would think the switch would make the light longer but it's the same length as others that have twist switches. We always recommend carrying a back up light and for the money this light definitely fits the criteria. AA batteries are inexpensive and you can ALWAYS find AA batteries just about anywhere. You can even use USED batteries in this light. I took a used up AA out of the recycle bin that was 1.2V and this light generated a beam bright enough to put a spot in my vision for a good 10 seconds. (We do not recommend you shine any light into your own eyes). Rechargeable 1.5 volt batteries would be good performers in this light.
